Todays discussion includes about the rings of plantes. It is for the first time for some readers that there are 4 planets that have rings--

jupiter,Saturn,Uranus,Neptune.

we say and we have seen the rings about saturn but the others ofcourse not.

theories about the rings of saturn are two-

the first theory says that there was a collision with a moon.

second one says that they were the debris of the a nearby explosion. although it is more clear that the moon theory is right. there are similar theories for other rings of other planets.

earth was born in similar way. but we are very sure that earth has no ring. but one can say that the debris all that are in atmosphere. but the properties are different.

if we observe the components of atmosphere that is chief gases in atmosphere,we can get a link.

according to me,

the findings of gases like hydrogen and helium in large quantities and that of
deuteride and methane in small quantities can help in solving the mysteries.

hydrogen and helium are the combustible gases. we have observed in daily life about their combustibility. but at the same time methane is less combustible and not as hydrogen. since the gases like hydrogen and helium have the maximum percentage in atmosphere of all the ring planets like

jupiter,saturn,uranus,neptune and all of them have minimum methane.AT the same time

mercury has 42% molecular oxygen,22% hydrogen

venus has 96.5% carbon di oxide and little traces of hydrogen

earth has 78% nitrogen and little trace of hydrogen

mars has 95% carbon di oxide and little trace of hydrogen

pluto has maximum trace of nitrogen

as it is clear that THEY DONT HAVE RINGS

JUPITER HAS 89.8% HYDROGEN,10.2% HELIUM

SATURN HAS 96% HYDROGEN,3% HELIUM

URANUS HAS 83% HYDROGEN,15% HELIUM

NEPTUNE HAS 80% HYDROGEN,19% HELIUM

so it is clear that the planets which have a ring have large quantities of hydrogen and helium in their atmosphere. when the planets were formed, at that time these planets must have been very reactive. as a result, there would have been constant consmic collision and combustible reactions. as a result matter from these planets would have been exploded in space and eventually they would have been cooled and when the planets took more or less geoid shape,these particles would have been attracted by the gravity and likewise now they are around the planets like jupiter,saturn,uranus,neptune. in the case of earth and other planets similar things would have happened but there wouldn't have been combustible reactions in atmosphere so the matter would not have remained like particles. rather we can say moon must have been formed.. like that of explosion theory for the formation of earth's moon. even the ring planets are more or less gaseous and are different from non-ringed planets. jupiter has a peculiar colour likewise saturn also they are the biggest in the solar system.uranus is the 3rd largest planet by size, neptune is windy planet. so is it because of the rings they are so large and have very unique characters. the rings are paricles of matter irregular in shape and moving with the planet in the orbit. because there atmosphere has violent gases to which when a meteror or asteroid would have strucked there could have been combustion and formation of debris.\

let us wait and watch what happens

we are lucky that there are ringed planets which increase the prestige of our planet!!!

BUT I HAVE USED THE WORD DIRECTLY. THIS MEANS WHEN WE TAKE A MAGNET NEAR THE OBJET FOR EG.. TV WHERE THE SOUND THOUGH IS PREVIOUSLY CONVERTED, BUT THE SOUND COMES OUT. IF WE TAKE A POWERFUL MAGNET CAN THAT OF THE RADIO NEAR THE TV,ITS SOUND CHANGES. IT GOES DEEP!!
EXPLAINATION--
EVERY MAGNET HAS A MAGNETIC FIELD. THIS ARE THE IMAGINARY LINES,USUALLY CIRCULAR AROUND THE POLES AND FROM THE POLES TO THE BOUNDARY MAGNETIC FIELD IS ACTIVE. IF WE KEEP A PARTICLE IT GETS ATTRACTED TOWARDS IT. BUT OUTSIDE IT IT DOESNT. LIKEWISE UNLIKE THE LIGHT SOUND IS A DISTURBANCE THAT TRAVELS IN FORM OF WAVES.
IT IS SIMILAR TO RIPPLES IN WATER..
NOW LET US SUPPOSE THE RADIO AND TV ARE PERPENDICULAR TO EACH OTHER. THE WORK DONE BY THE FORCE OF THIS TWO OBJECTS IS PERPENDICULAR.. WE KNOW THAT COS 90 IS O. SO NOTHING WILL HAPPEN.

dear all,

another sad news comes up after the satellitte collison of iridium 33 and cosmos 2251. i was thouroughly following the orbiting carbon observatory mission of Nasa since many days. Everything was going smoothly. i was in school in computer lab watching nasa tv. i didnt have lunch also as i was busy throughout the recess watching the launch. as there were no speakers we were unable to hear the countdown. we all became worried because of the 4mins delay and after that launch took place at obout 3:25:30 pm IST. as the recess was over i had to rush down to class. when i saw the news about the failure in seperation of the satellite and taurus rocket, i was shocked

HERE ARE SOME CHARACTERISTICS OF TAURUS ROCKET-

Taurus is a four stage, solid fuel launch vehicle built by Orbital Sciences Corporation. It is based on the air-launched Pegasus rocket from the same manufacturer. The Taurus rocket is able to carry a payload of around 1,350 kg into a low Earth orbit. First launched in 1994, it has successfully completed six out of a total of eight military and commercial missions.[1] Two launches have ended in failure, including the February 24, 2009 launch of the Orbiting Carbon Observatory mission.[2]

Spinning galaxies can form a shortcut to universe?

dear all,
i have come up with one more idea. yest.. i was drinking milk and stirring the milk. as all know we see a hole that directly goes to the bottom of cup passing through the milk but not touching it. i.e not getting wet. similar is the eye of tornado. the tornada is nothing but air spinning in circular manner i.e clockwise in s.hemisphere and anti in northern hemisphere. the eye is the most dangerous place where the pressure and wind speed is maximum because of its configuration. but if we throw any object from helipcopter in the eye of tornado then that directly will fall down on the ground. such tornadoes is not possible in space<>.
so we can say that when a liquid,gaseous,solid object gains circular velocity then it produces a pit. this can be the answer to the wormholes or the space shortcuts.
we know the process of fussion of any cellestial objects. they are attracted by the gravity then they move circular to each other then they move away. this process continues till they collapse on each other. galaxies are enormous. if in future such thing is ought to happen because of configuration of universe. so a passage may form which can take us to some new place. regarding the passage,we can say we can go for time travel.

its a sad news for all the people who have interest in satellites. two of our friends namely iridium 33 and cosmos 2251 have collided in space.

In an unprecedented space collision, a commercial Iridium communications satellite (IRIDIUM 33, NORAD ID 24946) and a defunct Russian satellite (COSMOS 2251, NORAD ID 22675) ran into each other on February 10, 2009 above Northern Siberia, creating a cloud of debris. The impact occured at 16:56:00 UTC (11:56:00 AM EST), at Latitude 72° 30' 04'', Longitude 97° 52' 46'', Altitude 788.68 km (490.0 miles). into 600 pieces it can be said that it was not a malfunctioning.Iridium Satellite LLC operates a constellation of some 66 satellites, along with orbital spares, to support satellite telephone operations around the world. The spacecraft, which weigh about 1,485 pounds when fully fueled, are in orbits tilted 86.4 degrees to the equator at an altitude of about 485 miles. Ninety-five Iridium satellites were launched between 1997 and 2002 and several have failed over the years.
Yesterday, Iridium Satellite LLC lost an operational satellite, the company said in a statement. According to information shared with the company by various U.S. government organizations that monitor satellites and other space objects (such as debris), it appears that the satellite loss is the result of a collision with a non-operational Russian satellite.
Although this event has minimal impact on Iridium's service, the company is taking immediate action to address the loss. The Iridium constellation is healthy, and this event is not the result of a failure on the part of Iridium or its technology. While this is an extremely unusual, very low-probability event, the Iridium constellation is uniquely designed to withstand such an event, and the company is taking the necessary steps to replace the lost satellite with one of its in-orbit spare satellites.
Johnson said the collision was unprecedented.
Nothing to this extent (has happened before), he said. e've had three other accidental collisions between what we call catalog objects, but they were all much smaller than this and always a moderate sized objects and a very small object. And these are two relatively big objects. So this is a first, unfortunately.
As for the threat posed by the debris, Johnson said NASA carried out an immediate analysis to determine whether the space station faced any increased risk. The station, carrying three crew members, circles the globe at an altitude of about 220 miles in an orbit tilted 51.6 degrees to the equator.

from this as there are air traffice controllers here on earth,there have to be space traffic controller. There are two issues: the immediate threat and a longer-term threat,.It turns out, when you have a collision like this the debris is thrown very energetically both to higher orbits and to lower orbits. So there are actually debris from this event which we believe are going through the space station's altitude already. Most of it is not, most of it is still clustered up where the event took place. But a small number are going through station's altitude.

Most, if not all, of the debris is expected to eventually burn up in Earth's atmosphere

Dear all,

this is my first article including the mixed ideas of me and my sir. although all the articles have been written after a prolonged discussion with him.

'THE JOURNEY TO THE BOUNDARY OF UNIVERSE'

This universe is great. the mysteries are locked in it but no one knows where are the keys.

we keep on saying that the universe is infinite and it has no end. but i believe it is the opposite. the universe is expanding continuously,every hour,minute second,microseconds. so it is not very easy to locate the boundary of universe as it is very clear that the boundary also moves forward with the growing universe. but there is a relativity in this aspect. if we suppose that there is a object A from where the boundary is 1 km away then bz of constant and uniform expansion the boundary will always remain at a distance of 1km from A. so the problem that comes is how to locate the boundary. if we take a spacecraft and try to go out of universe IN ANY DIRECTION, as the distance is enormous it will take millions of years to reach.. but if we follow the velocity of light the time will be less. the emphasis on this article is to tell abt the possibility of boundary,the abv one was a introduction to the concept..

now if we want to reach the boundary of universe,we will definately have to accquire velocity more than that of light. so there are such radiations known as Hawking's radiation. this means as per einstein,the time for the observer<> will stop and we will go to the past. so we will not go towards the end/boundary of universe but towards the begining of universe.. this will change everything

similarly we can go in future and if it is so, then we will overcome the rate of expansion and we will go ahead the boundary of universe. thus again by relativity, we will move parallel with the boundary and the distance will be same.

How to identify that there is a boundary

possible explaination-

i, believe that it will be a region where the all energy <> will sum uo together and because of it if we try to escape the boundary suddenly we will be pulled in<like a trampolin> the more u jump the more u go up. The question arises that will the be powerful enough to bring back the light from escaping.if seen it is possible as well as not possible. as said by stephen hawking,Bekenstein-Hawking radiation escape through the corner of black hole.it is the gravitational force which is a major component in this deflection of light
so it is possible as the gravity that strong of the black hole changes the path of lightso all these forces may bring back the light.Think about it!!. if it is possible then we can locate the boundary of universe even by not going there. we can study the impact on objects which are near to the boundary like we do to study black holes.

so by observation from earth itself we can locate

dimensions

we know the uses of dimensions.certainly as they are there,we are there. if we would have lived in 1 dimension space then we would have moved in one direction and we would have become flat

2] if we would have lived in 2D space then we would have gone back and forward but not up and down

3] as we have live in more than 2D including 3D we can move up and down.

4th dimension and 5th dimension are geometrically different and astronomically different

in space 4th dimension is of time.i want to state that why cant waves be the 5th dimension of space. note- i mean the em waves. we cant go with the sound as sound needs a medium of transmission in space--- solid/liquid/gas. but EM waves transmit without the need of medium

we say space is 3d with time 4th d. but every body in space has tendency of transmitting em waves either the paticles of alpha,beta,gamma

the dimensions can be called as the sides of object. now according to this defination, EM waves though are'nt the real sides of object but we can say they come out from the edges. likewise time goes with space so, it is a part of space like wise the EM waves are a part of cellestial objects..

Black Fear!!

recently, i heard about the planet nibiru. 2012 end of the world. it was heard that because of this planet's passby, there will be destruction.i am currently monitoring the position of this 10th planet. the title is pretty mysterious as fear is of this planet and black -black holes.
nowadays the concept of black holes is changed.earlier it was thought that nothing can escape the hole even the velocity of light. but it is now proved that light escapes through the corners of black hole. this is the hakwings radiations.. this is now helping the scientist to discover the black holes. though the eye of black hole cant be seen. we believe that there is a super-giant black hole at the center of milky way or you can say THE GALACTIC CENTER. but as the universe is expanding, it is not sure that there is blackhole and that will absorve earth. dark energy helps the expansion of universe but the black hole absorve the universe. if we say that it is correct then the universe will be in a neither expand-contract stage. but it is expanding. so the effect of this b.hole is not in picture till today. i personally believe that there has to be any mysterious body at the anti-galactic center

Hey all my friends yest i was travelling. i saw two trains passing each other. suddenly i remebered that we see the velocity of our train.

CASE 1] when the train a is at rest and the train b is in motion. when the train pass each other,we see the train moving. if it is according to the above statement then it is wrong.

we see the velocity of the other train and not ours.

einstein explained that an obj a and obj b with the velocity of light when they cross each other

they feel each other with velocity of light

2] obj at half the velocity of light and b at the velocity of light

when they cross each other obj,a feels that obj moves with velocity of light\

SO WHEN WE SEE AN OBJECT CROSSING,WE SEE HIS VELOCITY AND NOT OUR!!

ALIENS INTELLIGENT THAN US? OR NOT?

surely,when I talk with my friends or see the news channels,they show- aliens are coming
they have all technology. The can kidnapp you..
A question arised in my mind why is it compulsary that aliens are intelligent than us?
Cant they be nomadic?
They say, they can control space and time but it may be that they dont knw anything about space and time as we know!
A concrete proof is hard to be mentioned as I haven't experienced the aliens nor most of us. The universe was born at the same time. Galaxies also developed at the same time. So,can we conclude that all the living forms are equally intelligent? The answer to this NO! We consider that among any two person,one is more intelligent. But what is intelligence? It is not scoring marks and all when we talk about science! I define it as the ability of a living being to understand the surroundings and get adopted to it. If we apply this definition, again a controversy arises. That is regarding Darwin's theory of evolution! Darwin stated that evoution is there which makes development.
Till today earth hasn't faced any problem from aliens like the attacks of UFO”S.
This has two meaning
1] are the aliens aware that there is no point in coming on the earth
2] they don't know what is earth!
Well if voting takes place,i am obvious that majority will say the option 1
evolution is caused because of changing surroundings with better adaptation.
We say universe is stable but I say earth has more or less same surroundings. But what about other galaxies and all.. It is my belief that the conditions on other places may be same.
This I justify with the birth of universe. There are exceptions. You can say why the earth has atmosphere and mercury. This is related to the fact of forces acting on these objects.. I say action of forces causes change of climate. Though many may oppose me. This is the reason why we are developed.

A sudden change in the structure of Solar system!!!

My today's' discussions include the topic which was the main subject in controversy between Einstein-newton. newton told that if the sun is destroyed at once then the planets will leave their respective orbits.. but Einstein showed that it takes more than 8Min's for the light to travel from sun to earth.. so we will come to know abut it after 8Min's.. He said that space around the earth with time is curved. so the earth will leave the orbit but we will not know anything..
but why to talk abut sun only??? as it has the highest gravitational force? can't the other planets or even a celestial objects' change in orbit etc.. affect the journey of earth? I believe that it is possible!
Everyone must be shocked by it?
1] tides
why are the tides caused?
because of gravitational force of moon and sun on the surface of earth. thought they are farther from us still they have effect..
2] let us suppose that the moon is destroyed at once without notice. the moon is having effect on earth's rotation.. because of moon only earth is rotating. it is also said that the earth' s days are getting longer because moon is escaping the earth's g.pull by 4Cm's every year. so if there is no other body that is having its pull on earth other than sun,earth's rotation will cease and revolution will continue. so this will result that there will be no night and day only changes in seasons..
what will happen when the moon disappears at once? if it is correctly proved that earth's rotation is because of moon then if moon disappears, we will come to know abut it after 4Min's.. earth's rotation will cease at once but because of inertia earth will try to maintain its motion. so we will be jerked as we are when vehicle applies break suddenly.. this jerk will be tremendous may be equivalent to earth's speed of rotation..
3] it is that the gravity is the weakest among the nuclear force,electro-magnetic force,weak force.. but gravity is not destroyed.. so the asteroids around the earth or planets will start affecting the earth's rotation as now they will become more active after the disappearance of moon's gravity.. the asteroid/meteoroid passing around the earth will influence earth's rotational speed as well..
4] days on earth will be equivalent to years and anything can happen..
If there are some changes in the structure of planets around the earth then again there will be changes on earth as that changes will affect the moon and moon will affect the earth...
also because of energy stored in earth, there will be changes in structure of earth.
But there can be controversy as well.Since space and time are curved, the rotation can become faster

Uncertainty Principle!!

I am back after a week! today let us discuss about some thing which says old is gold..

In recess when i was standing by the ground, there was dust everywhere. i imagined that how would it be to be a particle of dust.. no place to go.. go where ever u want to go!!

i will explain what is the principle and its experiment!

1} CONCEPT

the particle of dust or any particle of matter has negligible or very minute mass.. this is the reason that makes the particle to move freely-- with the wind!!

2} it is very difficult to see these particles.

3} to track the velocity and magnitude of velocity that it has,we require some technology..

for that lights having less wavelength are sent to the particles.. but if we use higher technology to send beams of light the less we get about its position and magnitude.

4} so the less technology,the more accurate is the position..

The theory of SIMILAR,DIFFERENT TIME

5.5 billion years have passed and the sun is now in late 50's. the period left for life in this solar system may be upto 5.5 billion years.. As newton predicted that the planets will leave their orbits when sun will be destroyed at once. later einstein argued and was proved right as it takes more than 8 mins for light to travel from sun. What will happen after 5.5 billion years? certainly everybody will answer there will be destruction. but the fact that light travels by 3lakh kilometers in one second matters much...
As history predicts the fuel in sun will slowly get finish.. the earth is warm because of the presence of atmosphere. this atmosphere is formed because of sun's uv-particles. it will known after 8mins about sun's destruction on earth while 43 mins for that of jupiter.. this time difference is because of distance. the gravity of the cellestial objects having mass aftects the passage of light but not the speed. suppose this is the last photon travelling from sun with velocity of light. for a person siting on that photon, the nearby time is stopped. suppose that photon is passing infront of obj..A then for the observer at A it will be with the velocity of light that the photon with person is passing. and for person it will be different. but the time outside will be going as normal... but when light particle passes, it will be dark.. WE even cay say that it is time travel that light from betelguesse is coming to us from 1500 century. also the many objects in the center will be changing direction of light because of gravity. when sun will be black hole with strongest gravity.. Time on earth is because of light and as there will be no light,there will be no time.. if light from other galaxies come in our solar system the time will start but soon it will end because of black hole and if continuously light is supplied and absorved by sun and object 300000km far away then it will be 1 second for sun with frame of refrence of the other galaxy and time will be matched.but for some more objects like earth, earth's time will be different than the sun. it will be ahead by half a second. thus the more farer object from sun the more time difference.. we will follow time and time will ticktick.. but the light reflected from sun reaches on earth in half second then earth will be half a second back than sun for that photons and ahead for direct photons.. This is indeed surprising.. this indicates that for today the light that we are receiving from sun,,, sun is 8 mins ahead but light from betelguese with more than 400 years old for earth is more than that from sun.. so we are ahead.. so destruction of sun will result that the sun ahead from us will be back than us as light is passed from earth...

so there is a mystery !!!!



and if some black hole is formed between earth and sun then the time on both of this planet will stop with frame of refrence to each other but for some other object their will be relativity.. SO THIS IS A CONCEPT OF FRAME OF REFRENCES!!



so time is endless and if universe contract we will get older and older with time running normally

A Meet with the champs!!

dear all,unlike my science article, this topic is my experience when i met the two badminton champions. I,being born in a family known for the perfect badminton,they played, that is my grandfather,father,uncle.... it is a opportunity for me to continue this tradition. I do play badminton but not like all of them. It was a opportunity for me to meet the world famous badminton players at a glance that is my grandfather and Nandu Natekar..Mr. Natekar was to honoured for his play at nagpur. He arrived at nagpur and then he attended the function organized by NDBA association. He leaved in some of his friend's house . But because of some incidence, AT night AT 12.00am he arrived at our house. we started prepation to clean the room. the next day while watching the sad demise of people at mumbai we had a conversation with him.. Being a famous personality,the simple thing about him is that he is simple,down to earth. . Not being proudy, he is a very simple man. today he left to pune and wished me a best of luck calling me a future nasa engineer. really it was a divine experience for me to meet him and my grandfather at once and conversating with them!!!!

Space Time Curvature!

Space time curvature suggests that the the space is curved with the time. nobody will understand it without any explanation. did u ever imagine why the sky appears to be in semicircle as u know that space is abounded. also the sun doesnt go straight east-west and not in a straight line with frame of refrence of the observer on earth.

imagine i am going in space in a rocket at certain altitude i let a beam of light travel in straight line but from observer on earth the beam appears to be travelling in a curved path. but as per einstein light travels in a straight line only and in any case curvature of light is impossible. this indicates that the space is curved and along with it the time that passes with the space.

It cant be called illusion as it is the reality in the fact of space-time curvature!! another example for this can be said as light from planets. This is Einstein's special relativity. this also implies that

the time is different for different observers. the time is curved.. This principle makes the sky semicircle and the concept of horizon and travelling of moon and sun actually photons from their reflecting surface to earth

TIME

the capacity of man to go to past was never thought unless and untill Einstein gave the principle that the speed of light is contant and is not affected by any thing in space. earlier newton gave the principle that when the sun will get destroyed immdiately then as there is no force of attraction which keeps the planets in orbits, planets will go away from the orbits. later einstein's discovery made it clear that 8min time is required for the light to come on earth from sun.. a simple concept is used to describe the effect of stop of time. time is the fourth dimension of space. now the atomic clock is used to calculate the actual time. the time that is on the earth and the SECOND which we calculate is different in space. as the altitude increases and we begin to move in the outer space, the second hand of the atomic clock ticks faster. a light clock works on the principle of reflection of a photon between two mirrors perpendicular to each other. the photon appears to bounce between the mirrors. now that is a standard second. but if we accelerate towards the velocity of light, the photon will travel in a slant line rather than perpendicular distance. so time period for the photon to touch the mirrors increases. if one light clock is in space and is accelerated to the speed of light then it will be travelling such a distance that with refrence to us we will find that that photon is not touching the mirror. and hence TIME STOPS. this is proved by experiments. the only thing is to achieve the velocity of light. the time willl stop for the OBSERVER ONLY!!! but for the person with that clock it is going. so 1 hour for that person may equivalate to about many days of earth and this is applicable when we recieve the near the velocity of light.!! there are mysteries which are termed with this TIME DILATION CONCEpt. One of my cousin asked me why is it not possible to go in past. but we can. the only thing velocity of light has to be achieved. coming out of this imagination we now move to another concept. the name is TIME CHANGES--
suppose that i am having a car. i am moving on the road with the speed of 100km/hr. a train with speed of 200km/hr was behind me. it then came infront of me at the moment when we are in uniform motion, and train crosses me, then i find that the train is moving with the speed as it was before when i observed the train when i was at rest. the same is for train driver. for both of us the speed with respect to each other is same but something is changing and that is TIME as the train is with same speed for car and car relative to it..
this concept makes time the 4th dimension of space... and it is curved space time.!!!

WE THE INDIANS, ON THE MOON!!!

Congratulations to all the indians. A proud movement for the indians arose at 20'31hrs when the first craft of india landed on the moon. Chandrayaan-1 which carried the MOON IMPACT PROBE dropped MIP in the moon's atmosphere. The moon impact probe, then fired its jets in opp.. direction to slow down the spacecraft from an altitude of 100km and fall on the moon. OUR FLAG IS ON MOON!!!! the mip has india's flag painted. we are the fourth country on the moon. A proud movement for all but a evolutinary movement in the dynamics of space research of india as i think. taking this as the leap of india's journey to the universe,i congratulate the isro scientist and my dear sir envolved with me in this journey. let us change wallpapers of our house those of with mip's pictures.

LAST DAY OF PHOENIX

Nov.2nd 2008, this is the last day when Nasa recieved signals from it's spacecraft on mars.. The phoenix spacecraft was launched on 4th august 2007. By travelling continuously for nine months,this spacecraft arrived in mars orbit.. The terror--- EDL or entry,descent and landing was performed exceptional by this spacecraft. On 25th may 2008, or 26th may 2008 for GMT+ citizens, phoenix succesfully landed on mars. The spacecraft started its work by digging the martian soil. later it started analyzing the weather and capturing images. the place where phoenix landed can be compared with the arctic region of earth. Designed to work for 3months, this spacecraft gave an extraordinary performance of 5months. Phoenix mission was acoomplished as it was basically targeted to find ice on the mars.later on after digging the soil,it discovered ice on mars. It took more than 25000 images of mars. it studied about the climate of mars. Dust storms were there near phoenix.. As, winters are approaching on mars, the sunlight is decreasing.. This spacecraft could have worked in this little sunlight but because of dust storms, it is unable. As there are no means of generating electricity from coal,water or other sources sunlight becomes the only source of charging batteries/generating electricity... All the instrumets aboard this spacecraft run on batteries that are charged from sunlight. But these batteries are not getting charged so phoenix ceased communications with earth.The temperature on mars in winters can be upto -87C. this is the lowest temperature recorded there. The q. that must be coming in mind must be that if there are winters on mars then after some time there will be summer and sufficient sunlight. so phoenix can again start working. But the max.temp recorded is about -5 C and usually it is -46C. in this temperature with no sufficient power, the instruments aboard the spacecraft which are directly exposed to martian atmosphere will get freezed and with no enough maximum temperature, this instruments can hardly function back!!!!!!!! SO we can call it as a Successful mission end. and can say phoenix has hibernated permenantly rather than calling its death. This Euphemism <> gives us idea that phoenix has done its job and is now resting.. "Phoenix not only met the tremendous challenge of landing safely, it accomplished scientific investigations on 149 of its 152 Martian days as a result of dedicated work by a talented team," said Phoenix Project Manager Barry Goldstein at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, Calif. Phoenix findings also support the goal of learning the history of water on Mars. These findings include excavating soil above the ice table, revealing at least two distinct types of ice deposits; observing snow descending from clouds; providing a mission-long weather record, with data on temperature, pressure, humidity and wind; observations of haze, clouds, frost and whirlwinds; and coordinating with NASA's Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter to perform simultaneous ground and orbital observations of Martian weather.
