Chandrayaan-1 maneavour started at 4"51pm IST and it continued till 817 seconds... This placed Chandrayaan-1 in the highly elleptical orbit which is of 7500km x 504km. But on 12th nov, after a series of firings,chandrayaan-1 reached its planned orbit of 100 x 100km which includes aposeline off 100km and periselene of 100 km. The next major event is to drop the MOON IMPACT PROBE on the surface of moon, which carries India's flag. It will be dropped in few days. The challenges are not yet over. The eleven instruments aboard the spacecraft should now perform well. After many days, they will be tested as they were continuously exposed to the earth, outer, lunar space.
